Abstract
It is demonstrated that there exists a physically reasonable nonlinear Schrodinger equation having the same set of stationary solutions as t he corresponding linear equation. It can be viewed as a special limiti ng case of the Doebner-Goldin equations. Its nonstationary solutions d escribe dissipative processes. Some exact dissipative solutions are co nstructed.
