Abstract
A new concise method is presented for the calculation of the polaron g round-state energy for a wide range of the coupling constant. The calc ulated results are in good agreement with the recent Monte Carlo ones. In the weak-coupling limit the energy expansion is very close to the sixth-order perturbative result.
