Abstract
The electronic transitions appearing in the electronic spectra of the entitled compounds are characterized from the solvent effect data on t heir electronic spectra. Computerized analysis and multiple regression techniques were applied to calculate K-1, K-2, nu(vapour) and the res idual errors. The data were explained in the light of the molecular st ructure of the compounds.
