Abstract
There were 200 single-nail tension tests carried out on spruce double- shear specimens in order to analyze the variation of load-slip behavio r in non-predrilled nail connections. The following load-slip paramete rs were determined from each test: maximum load, elastic slip modulus, and slip modulus according to ISO 6891, as well as the three paramete rs of a function fitted to the load-slip relationship. The load-slip p arameters show a weak correlation and autocorrelation and are independ ent of nail distance perpendicular to the grain in the range of 60 to 180 mm.
