Gmrs. Luiz et al., GAS-PHASE INFRARED FOURIER-TRANSFORM SPECTRA OF (HCOOH)-C-12 AND (HCOOH)-C-13, Infrared physics & technology, 38(1), 1997, pp. 45-49
Formic acid and its isotopic species are important molecules for which
several theoretical and experimental spectroscopic studies were perfo
rmed. The rotational spectra of the fundamental vibrational modes of t
hese molecules were reported, as well as the infrared spectra of the m
ain monomer and its deuterium derivatives. On the other hand there are
almost no available infrared data for the C-13 species. In this work
we present the gas phase Fourier transform (FT) spectra of (HCOOH)-C-1
2 and (HCOOH)-C-13 in the 450 cm(-1) to 5000 cm(-1) region. The spectr
a were obtained using a Bomem DA-8 spectrometer at 3.0 cm(-1), 0.1 cm(
-1), and 0.03 cm(-1) resolution. All the vibrational modes are identif
ied and the vibrational frequencies are used to apply the product rule
.
