Abstract
Bird keepers must pay attention to hemosiderosis, a metabolic disease due to an excess of iron load in the organs, specially the fiver. The mynah bird and the toucan are the species that are more often affected and the disease is difficult to diagnose at its beginning. Human hemo siderosis is quickly compared to the bird disease.
