Abstract
Phase separation in polymer blends has been monitored by u.v. absorpti on spectrophotometry. An 'absorption' peak forms in the early stages o f phase separation and moves to longer wavelengths and broadens as the morphology ripens. This method may provide a useful alternative to sc attering techniques to monitor phase separation.
