Abstract
A gradient-index film composed of three coatings of TiO2/TiO2-SiO2/SiO 2 was prepared on an FDS-90 glass substrate by the sol-gel process. Th e film showed low reflectivity in the visible and near-infrared wavele ngth regions. This low reflectivity is attributed to the gradient-inde x structure of the film, and not to the film microstructure or pores o n the surface of the film.
