Abstract
A new annonaceous acetogenin, reticulatomol 1, is described. In order to confirm its structure, its total synthesis has been performed, usin g as a key step a radical coupling reaction between an alkyl iodide an d an enone, followed by an original reduction of the so obtained to yi eld the desired natural product.
