THE DEPENDENCE OF THE CONTENTS OF THUJONE IN PREPARATIONS OF THUJAE-HERBA BY THE EXTRACTION METHOD

There are no informations about the influence of the method of the ext raction on the content of thujone in Thujae herba and its preparations . This paper presents the investigations of different extractions of T hujae herba related to the content of thujone which was quantified by a gaschromatographical method. All methods used for extraction do not lead to a concentration of thujone in the extract with regard to other components. If the drug is extracted under technical conditions of pr oduction the content of thujone decreases significantly in the extract s to about 10%-35%. The results allow an assessment of possible toxici ty for formulations from Thujae herba.
