Abstract
The significance of selected bacterial infections of felines in zoolog ical gardens is discussed. Anthrax and malleus are in Germany of histo rical interest only, tuberculosis went down very strongly. Isolated ca ses of pseudotuberculosis must be expected in future. Infections with bacteria of the genera Chlamydia, Pasteurella and of the family Entero bacteriaceae are also considered. The significance of Clostridium perf ringens in the so called tiger disease is discussed.
