Vd. Kurochkin et al., COMPOSITION AND PARAMETERS OF SPARK PLASMA IN AIR WITH ELECTRODES FROM A TUNGSTEN-COPPER COMPOSITE, High temperature, 31(5), 1993, pp. 637-641
Results of the numerical simulation of the parameters and composition
of a spark plasma in air with due regard for the electrode evaporation
are described. The model includes the equations of balance for energy
and particles, as well as the equilibrium equations for the ionizatio
n-recombination and dissociation-molization reactions of the component
s of basic gases and vapors of electrodes. Spectroscopic measurements
and model calculations were performed to derive data on the compositio
n of plasma, pressure, the rate of flame propagation, and the rate of
evaporation of components of W-Cu electrodes manufactured from powders
of different dispersity using liquid-phase impregnation and hydrogen
reduction of oxides.
