Abstract
The enthalpy of gadolinium tetraboride and tetraborides of rare-earth metals (REM) of the cerium subgroup is studied experimentally in the t emperature range of 450 - 2300 K. Calculations of the temperature depe ndence of their basic thermodynamic functions are performed. The cause s of singularities in the behavior of heat capacity of REM tetraboride s in a wide temperature range are analyzed.
