Sn. Pobedinskii et al., OPTIMIZATION OF PARAMETERS IN HEAT-TREATMENT OF PORPHYRIN CARBON CATALYST OF OXYGEN-ELECTRODE, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(2), 1993, pp. 239-243
A porphyrin-carbon catalyst has been investigated to determine how its
electrochemical activity and catalytic properties are influenced by t
he temperature at which the cobalt tetramethoxyphenylporphyrin is trea
ted, the size of the CoT(p-OCH3)PP particles, and the content of the p
orphyrin on acetylene black. It has been shown that the optimal effect
of heat treating on the electrocatalytic properties is achieved when
the CoT(p-OCH3)PP is deposited in molecular form by adsorption from so
lution. The processes taking place heat treating CoT(p-OCH3)PP in a mi
xture with acetylene black have been investigated by means of thermogr
avimetric and differential thermal analysis, and also by spectroscopic
methods.
