Abstract
The problem of representing the color aspect of texture images is anal yzed in this paper. We propose that a color codebook be used to repres ent the color aspect of texture images. This color codebook is built a daptively from the problem prototypes and allows texture discriminatio n based on the color aspect by using a simple similarity measure.
