The technology management paradigm has shifted twice within the past d
ecade. And it is about to change again, with far-reaching, competitive
implications. Technology theorists and practitioners have argued for
greater integration of technology and corporate strategy. As that inte
gration increases, however, there will be pressure for new sources of
competitive advantage that are based on the use of technology. To reta
in their edge, companies will need to remove organizational resistance
to outside technology, and find ways of seamlessly integrating that t
echnology with their business.
