Abstract
We have studied numerically the implications of possible off-shell var iations of the rho omega-mixing matrix on the charge symmetry breaking observable Delta A(y) = A(yn) - A(yp) in polarized neutron-proton sca ttering. The rho omega-mixing contribution becomes small or even chang es sign as compared with using the on-shell mixing matrix. Because of this off-shell variation, the earlier theoretical agreement with the 1 83 MeV experiment at IUCF may no longer be valid.
