Km. Luk et al., BANDWIDTH AND GAIN ENHANCEMENT OF A DIELECTRIC RESONATOR ANTENNA WITHTHE USE OF A STACKING ELEMENT, Microwave and optical technology letters, 14(4), 1997, pp. 215-217
The stacked structure of an aperture-coupled cylindrical dielectric re
sonator (DR) antenna is studied experimentally. The effects of the off
set and the air gap between the driven and parasitic DR elements ale i
nvestigated. It is found that the bandwidth of the stacked structure c
an increase fr om the single-element value of 9% to 37%. The voltage s
tanding-wave ratio the radiation patterns, and the antenna gain are al
so reported. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
