The present study was conducted in 6 male Black Bengal goats which exh
ibited hypokinetic haemodynamic state in experimental endotoxic shock.
Significant (P<0.01) increase in rectal temperature, pulse, respirati
on and heart rate were the consistent features at all stages of shock.
Coldness of extremities and paleness of mucosa were restricted to pre
and terminal shock stage Dilatation of pupil was a consistant feature
at the time of death. Bloat followed by diarrhoea was recorded at the
3rd stage of shock Average survival time was 6.5 +/- 1 10 hours. Resp
iratory failure preceded cardiac arrest in all the animals.
