A strongly temperature dependent paramagnetic hyperfine contact NMR sh
ift which saturates below T(c) has been observed for the methyl group
protons in tetrakis-dimethylamino-ethylene (TDAE+)-C60. The magnitude
of the shift below T(c) is much smaller than expected if all C60 unpai
red spins would order ferromagnetically. The results confirm the exist
ence of a magnetic transition in TDAE-C60 and suggest that ferromagnet
ically correlated clusters appear below T(c) in a sea of spin cancelle
d regions.
