Abstract
Fischer carbene complexes have emerged as an important organometallic intermediate for the synthesis of a wide variety of target organic mol ecules. The reactivities of these complexes do not always follow a pre dictable pattern. An unprecedented rearrangement of these complexes di scussed herein is triggered by an apparently minor structural variatio n.
