Jt. Chojnacki et Wb. Walsh, THE CONSISTENCY BETWEEN SCORES OF THE HARRIS-LINGOES SUBSCALES OF THEMMPI AND MMPI-2, Journal of personality assessment, 62(1), 1994, pp. 157-165
This study investigates the consistency between scores of the Harris-L
ingoes subscales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (M
MPI) and the MMPI-2. College students (200 men and 200 women) were ran
domly assigned to either the original to original condition, where the
y took the MMPI twice, or the original to revised condition, where the
y took the MMPI and MMPI-2. Results indicate relative consistency in t
he item and normative changes between the Harris-Lingoes subscales of
the MMPI and MMPI-2. These results suggest that the recommendation of
a clinical significance score of T > 65 for the MMPI-2 scales should n
ot be applied to the Harris-Lingoes subscales.
