Abstract
The CRRES satellite has been extensively surveyed for the occurrence o f onboard anomalies. CRRES system and instrument responses which were not programmed or commanded are classified as anomalies. The history o f anomalies is correlated with the history of plasmas, high energy par ticles, and electromagnetic fields as measured on CRRES. The anomalies for each instrument on CRRES are compared with those from other instr uments. The 674 anomalies, as a group, correlate well with high levels of high energy electron flux and poorly with every other environmenta l parameter.
