Abstract
Artificial neural networks are an extensively researched field. Their application in automation area has also become more common. This paper presents the neural network architectures most widely used in practic e and summarizes results in static and dynamic fault diagnosis, and co ntrol. Applications to paper machine web breaks and real-time control highlight the paper.
