Abstract
The possibility of using gadolinium(III) beta-diketonates as paramagne tic relaxation reagents in NMR relaxation analysis of emulsions of the second kind was investigated. It was shown for the adduct of gadolini um(III)tris(dipivaloylmethanate) with trioctylphosphine oxide that the hydrocarbon proton relaxation time selectively decreases when the rea gent is added to the emulsion so that phase identification is facilita ted and the precision of the analysis is increased.
