The results of a numerical study of strongly coupled bound polaron eig
enstates are presented. Two kinds of eigenstates with low energy exist
. Firstly, there are states which are approximately hydrogen-like. Sec
ondly, there are mixed states, which may be approximated as a sum of a
few hydrogen-like functions. A parametrical analysis allows one to es
tablish a relation between hydrogen eigenstates and bound polaron eige
nstates, which is not a one-to-one correspondence but includes bifurca
tions. Two kinds of bifurcations are responsible for the appearance of
two types of mixed states.
