Abstract
It is likely that the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background-di scovered by the COBE satellite-is due to near structures (voids, super clusters, etc., at redshift <2) and has nothing in common with the dis tribution of matter at redshift congruent-to 1000. This result follows from the analytic calculation of the redshift of light that crosses a spherical void.
