Abstract
The generation of unipolar pulsed magnetic fields of various waveforms with an induction of up to 100 T by discharging a capacitor battery t hrough a solenoid is reviewed. The paper describes a new method for ge nerating strong pulsed magnetic fields in discharge oscillator circuit s by the radial expansion of spark gas discharge channels (a self-main tained plasma crowbar).
