Abstract
The authors investigated the relationship between Cloninger's personal ity dimensions and DSM-III-R personality traits by comparison of score s on the Tridimensional Personality Questionnaire with axis II traits found in structured interviews with 99 patients. Consistent with theor etical predictions, axis II pathology was significantly related to per sonality dimensions after the effects of axis I disorders were control led for.
