Abstract
The uranyl sensitized photodecomposition of L(-)cysteine has been carr ied out. Cysteine has been characterised as the product of photo-oxida tion of L(-)cysteine and a tentative mechanism for the photo-oxidation of L(-)cysteine has been proposed.
