Abstract
We report here the synthesis of two new N-substituted derivatives of 2 ,6-dinitro-4-trifluorormethylaniline, by the reaction of 2,6-dinitro-4 -trifluoromethylchlorobenzene with primary and secondary amines. By im proving reaction conditions described in literature, for this class of compounds, yields higher than 90% were obtained. The new compounds we re characterized by IR spectroscopy, elementary analysis and gas-liqui d chromatography. Huckel molecular orbital calculations were performed in order to explain characteristics of substitution reactions.
