In a young male chronic generalized HBV infection (acute viral hepatit
is in childhood, HBsAg, HBeAb, HBcAb in the blood serum) ran with a lo
ng-term fever and involvement of many organs and systems (the liver, l
ungs, CNS) complicating the diagnosis. The patient died in the presenc
e of CNS affection and hepatorenal insufficiency. At biopsy and autops
y it was established that the patient had active hepatic cirrhosis, fi
brosing alveolitis, pulmonary vasculitides, chronic pneumonia, cerebra
l vasculitis, myocarditis and postmyocarditis cardiosclerosis, necroti
zing myositis, Sjogren's syndrome, mesangioproliferative glomeruloneph
ritis.
