Three cases of extragenital occurrence of transmissible venereal tumor
(TVT) without a primary tumor on the genitalia are described. The fir
st involved a young German Shepherd with a large mass completely block
ing and deforming the right nasal cavity. In the second case, a 6-year
-old, mixed-breed dog presented with a tumor in the right maxillary si
nus, causing severe epistaxis and mucopurulent nasal discharge. In the
third case, a subcutaneous nodular and ulcerative lesion of the jaw w
as observed. Histopathological diagnosis of TVT was confirmed in all c
ases. Intravenous vincristine was administered in Cases 2 and 3, and r
egression of the tumors occurred in both.
