Eight helminth species (Posthodiplostomum minimum, Allocreadium mexica
num, Bothriocephalus acheilognathi, a cyclophyllidean cysticercoid, Ar
hythmorhynchus brevis, Spinitectus carolini, Capilaria patrcuarensis,
and Eustrongylides sp.) were found in 195 fish, Chirostoma attenuatum,
from Patzcuaro Lake from October 1989 to December 1990. Posthodiplost
omum minimum had the highest prevalence and intensity. Our findings re
present new host records.
