Intermittent occlusion of the ulnar artery developed in a patient caus
ing cramp in her right hand. Both flexion and extension of the wrist c
ompletely obstructed bloodflow in the ulnar artery, at a level just pr
oximal to the wrist. At operation, a tight band of antebrachial fascia
was found to be the cause of this intermittent arterial occlusion. Su
rgical release of this fascial band produced complete relief of her sy
mptoms.
