Abstract
Spontaneous rupture of utero-ovarian vessels during pregnancy is a rar e cause of maternal and fetal loss. We report the case of a 30-year-ol d woman who presented to the emergency department in her third trimest er with frank maternal shock. The prompt recognition of shock, correct ion of hypovolemia, and rapid surgical intervention by her obstetricia n led to a favorable outcome for both mother and child.
