Abstract
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has a long association with powd er metallurgy, dating to Carl Gunnard Johnson's tenure on the faculty. This tradition continues with specialized and interdisciplinary work in a center named in his honor, and through a curriculum that integrat es academic and field experience. This paper describes these programs.
