The author describes the similarity between the Indian cultural perspe
ktive - more precisely the hinduistic - and Ammons Dynamic Psychiatry.
In order to do so he first shows the parts of Indian psyche, their ai
ms and the way how to reach their goals. Furthermore he shows the Indi
an ideas of health and healing which is quite different to the common
European concept. The conclusion is that the Indian culture is more cl
ose to Dynamic Psychiatry than to other western theories about identit
y, personal structure, health, and diseases with subsequent possibilit
y of mutual enriching.
