P. Kelly et al., CURVED INTERFACE CRACKS BETWEEN ELASTICALLY DISSIMILAR MEDIA, WITH APPLICATION TO THE ANALYSIS OF CIRCULAR INCLUSIONS, International journal of mechanical sciences, 36(3), 1994, pp. 173-181
The method of distributed dislocations is used to formulate the plane
problem of a crack between a circular elastic inclusion and an elastic
ally dissimilar matrix. The resulting singular integral equations are
solved numerically. As examples, solutions are presented for the crack
-tip stress intensity factors and energy release rate for a crack unde
r conditions of far-field tension and shear, for cases where one of Du
ndurs' constants (beta) vanishes.
