Abstract
Extremely regular periodic peaks in device current, capacitance, and i ntersubband photocurrent are observed in a multiple-quantum-well struc ture in which the period is a coupled double well. Hysteresis is displ ayed in all the measurements with respect to the scan direction of the applied voltage. A phenomenological model is used to explain the obse rved results. The complexity of charge transport in such a system wher e high- and low-field domains are formed is also discussed.
