Abstract
The effects of anode-cathode distance on anode resistance have been ev aluated with a scaled model. A comparison was made using predictions m ade with the modified Dwight formula. For practical anode-cathode dist ances, the resistance was significantly lower. A new anode resistance formula is proposed which takes this effect into account. The applicab ility of this formula to cathodic protection of offshore structures is discussed.
