Abstract
Organo palladium sols were prepared from palladium complexes in variou s alcohols in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone. Uniform palladium particles ranging in size between 2 and 4 nm were obtained in 1-pentan ol, alpha-phenylethyl alcohol, and beta-phenylethyl alcohol solutions of palladium acetate. In contrast, Pd(acac)2 (acac, 2.4-pentanedionato ) yielded particles of wider size distribution compared to those from palladium acetate.
