Abstract
The crystal structures of isotypical compounds Cu(PDAHP)X(2)]PDAHP = 1 -(pyridine-2-yl)]-3-methyl-3,6-diazaheptane, X = Cl, Br or NO3] which have previously been spectroscopically studied, are reported. The ster eochemistry of the three complexes is described on the basis of pentac oordinate complexes of the type Cu(tridentate ligand) (unidentate liga nd)(2). Distortions of the coordination polyhedra were calculated by t he Muetterties and Addison methods and the results obtained are discus sed.
