Abstract
The authors examined interactions among risk factors for suicide, a st rategy not typically followed in suicide research. Their results sugge st an explanation for gender differences in suicide rates and qualific ations in the relationship between hopelessness and suicide based on h istory of drug and alcohol abuse.
