Jp. Brouland et al., SPLENOMA WITH ACCUMULATION OF MEGAKARYOCY TES DURING THE COURSE OF A PRIMARY IDIOPATHIC MYELOFIBROSIS, Annales de pathologie, 14(1), 1994, pp. 32-35
We report a splenoma associated with an important megakaryocyte seques
tration in peliotic sinuses. The diagnosis was done on surgical specim
en of splenectomy performed for a painful splenomegaly occuring in a 7
1-year-old man presenting a primary idiopathic myelofibrosis. Histopat
hological features of these splenic microvascularisation disorders, ma
inly occuring during hemopathy involving the spleen, are discussed. Th
is case seems to confirm the hypothesis that splenoma could be an acqu
ired splenic disease.
