Abstract
The flavonoid chemistry of 7 species belonging to 4 subgenera of the g enus Medicago L., has been reported for the first time from Pakistan. The flavonoid pattern strongly support the infrageneric classification of the genus. It also seems to be useful to solve the problems at int er and infraspecific levels.
