M. Mazzei et al., SYNTHESIS IN SOLUTION OF OLIGODEOXYNUCLEOTIDES AND SOME THEIR 5'-LINKED AND 3'-LINKED DERIVATIVES, Il Farmaco, 48(12), 1993, pp. 1649-1661
Antisense oligodeoynucleotides (ODNs) and their derivatives are highly
interesting fools to regulate gene expression and promising drugs for
antiviral and anticancer therapy. In view of performing more extensiv
e pharmacological trials requiring relatively great amounts of ODNs, w
e used a method of ODN synthesis derived from the phosphotriester appr
oach which allow to prepare ODNs covalently linking cholesteryl residu
e (in 5' or 3') and phenazinium group (in 5'). HPLC purifications are
discussed.
