Abstract
The preparation of 1 as a model for negative allostery is described. T ransport experiments (bulk liquid membrane) of alkyl di- and monoammon ium cations in the presence or absence of ZnI2 in the receiving phase evidenced strong negative allosteric effects of the metal towards ammo nium complexation.
