Abstract
The abelian projection of lattice gluodynamics is reviewed. The main t opics are: abelian and monopole dominance, monopole condensate as the disorder parameter, effective abelian Lagrangian, monopoles in the ins tanton field, Aharonov - Bohm effect on the lattice.
