Abstract
Somatic embryogenesis and regeneration of plantlets was achieved in ca llus cultures derived from cotyledonary leaf pieces of Hyoscyamus muti cus L. on MS medium enriched with 2 mg/l 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/l BAP. For e mbryogenesis and organogenesis varying concentrations of NAA with or w ithout BAP were added in the medium. Organogenesis was also achieved w hen callus was transferred to the hormone free medium.
